A silver sporran cantle with Masonic connections Weighing in at 232 grammes a most splendid cantle measuring at 6 inches in width and 4.5 ins in height. Superb decoration,again all in silver with a small button bearing a strung bugle and an arrow. 3 super silver studs on the top of the cantle.
To the rear 2 silver lugs and with holes in the back and front plates to secure the body of the sporran.
A most exciting find !

The Capetown Highlanders OR's Victorian helmet plate Worn on the white helmet and in service from 1885 up until 1902.
A super,very stylish 8 pointed star with Queen Victoria's Crown displacing the top ray. A wreath of laurel surrounds the Star of the Order of the Thistle and the Saltire with a quoit to the centre,inscribed"CAPETOWN HIGHLANDERS",to the fretted centre a single thistle.
To the rear 2 excellent copper lugs....a real beauty indeed .
The Capetown Highlanders had a very long and close relationship with The Gordon Highlanders and also saw plenty of action in both World wars.

The 77th OTTAWA (Overseas Bn) CEF Collar badge A collar badge with a copper colour,a quoit comprised of 4 maple leaves above a scroll inscribed"OTTAWA" below which is a smaller flat scroll inscribed "OVERSEAS BATTALION" C.E.F. The Numerals"77" lie to the centre of the maple leaves. Above all is the King's Crown.
To the rear are 2 good brass lugs.
