The 74th(Highland)Regiment of Foot Piper's plaid brooch
A superb,very rare Piper's plaid brooch to this most august of Regiments,comprising a 3 inch diameter burnished silvered quoit with,to the voided centre The elephant upon a torse and above a scroll inscribed "ASSAYE".
To the rear a strong original pin with 4 silver wires securing the front device(1 absent).
Extremely rare
