In white metal ,measuring 2.5ins in height and 2 ins in width,an oval strapped quoit inscribed"HIGHLAND BORDERERS" with,to the fretted centre St Andrew with the Cross.
To the rear 2 excellent copper lugs.
This badge was in service from 1873 until 1881.
