The 48th Highlanders of Canada Piper's plaid brooch
A 4 inch Diameter burnished silver plated quoit,with to the voided centre a wreath of thistles surrounding a Falcon's head upon a torse with the numerals "48" below. At the base of the wreath is a scroll inscribed "DILEAS GU BRATH" which means FAITHFUL FOR EVER !!
To the rear an original pin and catch with 2 brass nuts securing 2 screw posts of the front device.
