To the rear the fixed loop and adjoining loop are both present.
A brass pin secures the silver device on the front.
A very rare piece of insignia.
Now if you have time, here is a wee story about the Scots Guards......Sometime in the distant past I had a Quartermaster who had been a Scots Guardsman before his promotion.......many years after we had both finished serving he just happened to pop into my little shop in Doune, whereupon,in an effort to be friendly I offered him a little gift which was a group photograph in a frame of Scots Guardsmen. He expressed his appreciation. Sometime later when he was passing by the shop,I asked him if he was still enjoying his picture..... "Grand" says he....I took the photograph out and there was a nice painting behind and I sold it for £30.!
.....ah weel ! Once a Quartermaster always a Quartermaster!
