The Saskatoon Light Infantry Cap badge,collar badge & sweetheart brooch
A very nice set of badge belonging to this great Canadian outfit who shared the burden of WW2 so very well.
The became a MGC outfit in 1936(they must have known something was about to happen!) and were mobilised at the outbreak of WW2. They served throughout Europe in the Machine gun role as part of the 1st Canadian Division Machine gun corps....incidentally were presented with Colours by the Queen in 1941.
A very fine Regiment indeed.
