Carl Gustav 16th King of Sweden Piper's Plaid Brooch
An extremely fine and beautifully made Plaid Brooch,comprising;A highly burnished silvered quoit of 4inches Diameter with, to the centre a wreath of thistles in gilt surrounding The Star of the Order of the Thistle and the Saltire in silver plate and mounted upon it,in rich gilt,is the monogram of The King of Sweden CG with XV1 below and the Swedish Crown above.
To the rear, large original pin and catch with 2 screw posts and nuts securing the front device.
Impressed at the bottom of the quoit is the makers mark"D N Lombards Birmingham"
